BioPersonality
Soma Cruz is the polar opposite of his “former” self, Dracula; he is kind and more then willing to protect the people he cares about and any others. At times he as at war with his inner nature, but in the past he has always won out dismissing the call of Dracula’s Castle. Soma has never been unwilling to use the dark powers within him confident that with his friend’s at his side he will never have a problem holding onto himself.
Having more or less grown up an average enough life Soma is prey to the latest fad like most his age, his inner ”angst” not hindering his young tendencies and innate light heartedness (unless the call of the castle gets to him for a little while). He’d be more then happy to live out a normal esque life.
Ethically he’s muddled up in a gray area, neither white nor dark he will do whatever he feels is right, and whatever he needs to do to protect the people he cares for. Anything but squeamish about the more gruesome aspects of his new found life, he will barely bat and eye at a downed foe no matter how gruesome the death (a fall off from his inner Drac), beyond his optimistic attitude.
Background
Born in Japan, Soma Cruz lived a relatively normal life up to his nineteenth year, at which point his life was changed forever. On the night of a solar eclipse he was drawn into Dracula’s castle. Left to unravel the mysteries of his own soul he discovered he was intended as master for the castle, that he was an incarnation of Dracula, who died many years earlier.
Delving deep within the castle he fought back those who would bring out his true self, and allied with some unusual companions and was able to defeat ‘Chaos’ the source of the taint. Released back into what could be called reality he left with Mina his childhood friend to try and live out the rest of his existence.
A year after the events that released and revealed Soma’s true nature an unknown woman attacked Mina and himself. Once again drawn into battle he soon realized they wanted nothing more then to draw out his power to revive the Dark Lord. Once again with the help of his allies he found himself within the bowels of castle Dracula. Fighting back the forces within he defeated the cult members bent on reviving the Dark Lord and once again refused his dark inheritance and left the castle behind him.
